March 22, 2010 Caution Zombie 12m session

Wind was blowing about 20mph and more. I was on the Caution Zombie 12m boosting big and having one of the best session in my life. It is a great nice feeling when you are hanging up high, holding by the kite and you got tons of time to do your tricks and then a nice floaty landing. I haven't had so much fun kiting like today as everyday I ride different kites and it is hard to adjust...However, the Caution Zombie 12m feels right at home for me. I landed all my tricks with the Zombie but at another level: my jumps were higher and bigger, including kiteloops and unhooked. Waves riding with the Zombie 12m also super fun: the kite turns quick. Check out these cool pictures of today session that were taken by Paul Lang:

March 09, 2010 - Caution Kites Demo day at Pismo Beach, California

2010 Caution Kites: Zombie and Mayhem X demo day at Pismo Beach. First part of the movie: Victor S. with Orange 9m Mayhem X and Kinsley TW. on Green 9m Zombie. Last part of the movie: Kinsley TW. and Scott E. on RED ZOMBIE 12m. Waves were big and wind was 16 to 18mph. The new 2010 Caution Kites are super nice, fast, quick, and stable: great for waves riding as well as bigairs and unhooked. Click here to view the video in HD version.

Tuesday February 16, 2010

Wind was light about 12mph average with gust 14mph. We pumped up the new 2010 Caution Zombie 12m and tested it at our playground Pismo Beach.

The carry bag for the 2010 Caution Zombie Kite is super basic. This is the bag that you want to take with you on your next vacation kite trip as it weights to almost nothing. The bag does not have extension so you won't be able to store the kite with struts inflated.

The control bar is super nice and comfortable. The locking stick/donkey dick is non-instrusive. The flying lines are super nice 700 lbs and thick so that they won't get tangle easily like other lines. Depowerstrap is standard pull/pull action. We tested the safety and it was easy to activate as well as put them back on. Front flying lines are attached to the depower strap with pigtails so it is easy to detach to clear the line. Standard bar stopper ball works nice. All pigtails as well as bridle lines are made of super high quality 6mm spectra tough.

On to the kite, the 2010 Caution Zombie looks like a flat kite in the air with super short bridle. We tested the depower safety as well as relaunching in light 12mph wind and the Zombie relaunches instantly as well stayed depowered when we activated the safety. We will test the safety furthermore in stronger wind.

In the air, we had the Zombie 12m rigged standard from the factory set up and the bar pressure felt like it was on the medium high range. The 12m Zombie turns very quick on the wing tip. Hang time and boost were very nice. After about half an hour kiting with the standard factory setup, we changed the rear bridle to a single connection and it definitely lightened the bar pressure.

This setting of the rear bridle gives lighter bar pressure but the kite still turns super quick.

Unhooked tricks with the 12m Zombie were super fun. The zombie is very stable and there were no surprises. Kiteloops were tight and smooth. We also tested the 9m Zombie at La Ventana KiteXPO and both the 9m and 12m Zomebie are very sweet kites and super fun to ride with.

Now we can't wait for stronger wind days to get some hot action of the 2010 Caution Zombie on our GoPRO HD Camera! Check back for more users reviews and videos next week!

Caution's one pump system is very nice, simple and clean looking!
